Fashion Island
Panorama Preview

This single-node panorama was taken at Fashion Island, an upscale shopping mall in Newport Beach, California. Despite the fact that there were people walking around during the session, proper shooting and processing techniques eliminated the "shadow people" often seen in QTVR nodes with moving people.

Shot with a 17mm lens. Film was scanned at our facility. This is a half resolution file and is approximately 227K in size.

Photographed with a 17mm lens and scanned at our facility. This is a half resolution single-node panorama and is approximately 223K.

Orange Empire Railway Museum
Panorama Preview

Another single-node panorama shot at the Orange Empire Railway Museum in Perris, California. This shows some Pacific Electric trolleys and part of the museum facilities.

It was shot with a 17mm lens and scanned via PhotoCD. The file is approximately 457K in size.

We've also included a smaller version of the same image. Everything is the same except that we started with a lower resolution image. The resulting file is smaller--169K instead of 457K--but the image is not as sharp and it degrades sooner as you zoom in. However, the small size may make it more practical for Web use. You decide which tradeoff you want to make.

Dana Point Harbor
Panorama Preview

This single-node panorama was shot in early January at Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point, California, and features a statue of the harbor's namesake, Richard Henry Dana, author of the classic Two Years Before the Mast.

Shot with a 35mm lens, the vertical panning range is somewhat limited. Extra resolution was kept to allow deeper zooming into the image, accounting for the larger size of this file. The film was scanned at our own facility. File is approximately 1,011K in size.
