Color Finesse 2.1.11 and earlier on Windows.

Problem

Using the Save User Preset menu command fails to save the current settings as a user preset file to disk, or to place it in the User Presets folder in the Reference Gallery.

The error occurs silently, with no error message displayed, thus making it seem as the command has succeeded.

Solution

This problem is resolved in version 2.1.12 of Color Finesse.

The underlying problem is that the User Presets folder is missing due to a failure of the Color Finesse installer.

You can resolve the problem by manually creating the required folder. Within your user home folder is the Documents folder. Within the Documents folder, create a new folder named "Color Finesse Presets".

Future requests to save a user preset will now succeed, with the saved preset being placed within this folder and automatically added to the list of user presets in the Reference Gallery.
